Advance travel planning and early visa application are important, since visa applications are subject to a greater degree of scrutiny than in the past.
It is important to thoroughly review all information on the specific Embassy's Consular Section website for local procedures and instructions, such as how to make an interview appointment.

The U.S. Department of State has added a new feature to its website regarding visa wait times. Since visa applications are now under greater scrutiny, the State Department is advising those who wish to travel to the United States for business or other nonimmigrant purposes to plan ahead. This site provides estimated waiting periods to get an interview to apply for a visa and the estimated time it will take to process the application at the consular section. The visa wait times are shown for various locations around the world. The State Department does advise that it is best to check with the local embassy or consular section to confirm the information. To visit the visa wait times site, go to http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/wait/tempvisitors_wait.php
International Attendees requesting a Letter of Invitation must be registered badge holders with a valid confirmation number prior to requesting an invitation letter.
Invitation requests must be received no later than six (6) weeks prior to the Show's opening.
Complete and submit the Nonimmigrant Visa Invitation Request Form
Invitation processing takes approximately 5 - 7 business days after you have submitted the form. Due to the large number of requests for invitations we receive on a daily basis, please make arrangements for your letter early. Original invitation letters will be sent ONLY via US POST MAIL.
AHR EXPO will not be responsible for contacting US Consulate or Embassy offices, and reserves the right to refuse any visa invitation letter requests.
