The official attendance figure for the 2010 AHR Expo that was held in Orlando was 44,001 visitor and exhibitor personnel.

Do I have to be a Member of ASHRAE to attend the Show?

No, you can attend the Show and not be a member of ASHRAE; however, ASHRAE members that register for the ASHRAE Winter Meeting are entitled to attend the Show at no charge. For ASHRAE membership information and for information on ASHRAE's Winter Meeting, click here: ashrae.org

Are children allowed to attend?

No one under 18 years old is permitted to attend the Show, however 16-17 year olds may attend but must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times when in the exhibit areas.

Is photography allowed on the Exhibit floor?

No, due to the sensitive nature of new products and unique booth displays at the Show, photography and/or video recording of any booths within the Exhibit areas by any attendee/exhibitor personnel is prohibited. Exceptions are made only when permission is obtained from the exhibitor whose booth/product is being photographed/video taped and/or all individuals appearing in the photograph or video.

How much is the registration fee for ASHRAE's Winter Meeting?

I think I've already registered, how do I verify my registration?

How do I make changes to my registration information prior to the Show?

You can make changes by calling the Registration Office at (866) 229-3691 or (301) 694-5243 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM (EST)

Are there registration options available for one day or two days of the Show?

No the on-site registration fee is for all 3 days and the cost is $20.

When can I expect to receive my credential (registration badge) in the mail?

Credentials will be mailed to all registrants who register by December 17, 2010. Mailing of credentials will begin in November and will start with those who registered first. Individuals who register after December 17, 2010, may pick up their credentials on-site at the Las Vega Convention Center Central Hall Registration Area beginning on Sunday January 30th.

I have my 2011 Show badge - do I need anything else to enter the exhibit halls when they open?

Badge Holders and Lanyards will be provided at no charge at the entrances to the Show and also in the Registration Area in the Las Vegas Convention Center Central Hall. Bring your badge with you to get into the Show.

Will transportation be provided between the Official Show Hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center?

Yes, the complimentary Show shuttle bus system operates between all Official Show Hotels that are not within walking distances to the Las Vegas Convention Center from Monday, January 31 - Wednesday, February 2 operating from 8 am - 7 pm daily. Please check the lobby of your hotel for the specific schedule related to your hotel.

To reserve a hotel room am I required to provide a credit card?

Yes, a credit card is required in order to secure the reservation. A deposit equal to the first night's room and tax (12%) will be charged to that card by the hotel when the reservation is sent to the hotel in mid December.

Will I receive confimation of my hotel reservation?

Yes, if you book your room through us an initial confirmation will be emailed from Travel Planners, within 2 weeks of making the reservation. A final hotel confirmation will be emailed directly to you, from Travel Planners in the beginning of January.

What is the Hotel Cancellation and Modification Policy?

For guests booking Early Bird Rates, please note that on or around November 30, 2010, the hotel will charge a deposit of 1 night's room and tax to the credit card used to guarantee this reservation. This deposit is refundable if your reservation is cancelled no later than 3:00 PM local hotel time, 24 hours prior to arrival. For all other guests, on or around January 17, 2011, the hotel will charge a deposit of one night's room and tax to the credit card used to guarantee this reservation. This deposit is refundable if your reservation is cancelled no later than 3:00pm local hotel time, 24 hours prior to arrival.

How do I make changes or cancel my hotel reservation once it has been made?

If you have your confirmation number you can make changes or cancel your reservation online. To begin, you will need to login with your reservation number and the last name of the person who made the reservation – this information is located on your confirmation e-mail. If you do not have your confirmation number you can make changes or cancels by calling Travel Planners at (800) 221-3531 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM (Eastern).

From the McCarran International Airport (10 minutes)
- Go north on Paradise Rd
- Continue onto S Swenson St

- Take exit 40 for Sahara Ave
- Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Las Vegas Strip/Convention Center and merge onto NV-589 E/W Sahara Ave

Where can I park at the Las Vegas Convention Center and how much does it cost?

Parking is available at the Convention Center and surrounding properties. Pakring generally costs $10 per day, with in /out privileges at Convention Center lots so be sure to save your receipt.

Can I park my car overnight at the Las Vegas Convention Center?

No, overnight parking at the Convention Center is prohibited. Vehicles left overnight will be towed at the owner's riisk and expense.

ASHRAE Information

What is the difference between the AHR Expo® and the ASHRAE Winter Meeting?

The AHR Expo and the ASHRAE Winter Meeting are two independent events held concurrently in the same city. The AHR Expo is a tradeshow with manufacturers showing the latest equipment and services spanning the HVACR Industry. The AHR Expo also has its own educational component with sessions and workshops provided by leading Industry associations, government and not-for-profit organizations.

The ASHRAE Winter Meeting, put on by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), is a series of seminars offering HVACR Professionals the opportunity to earn CEUs & PDHs, and connect with other Industry Professionals.
