Solar Water & Solar Heating – New Opportunities for Hydronic Professionals
Presented by John Siegenthaler, P.E.
This half-day PM LIVE session at the AHR Expo will bring you up to speed with the latest technology for solar domestic water heating. It then extends the envelope to include combined DHW and space heating applications. Topics to be discussed include collector options, controls, piping designs, and determining seasonal performance. If you’ve been thinking of branching out from traditional hydronic heating into solar thermal technology this session is a good place to get grounded in the fundamentals. You’ll learn what works and what doesn’t from 30 years of field and design experience.

Reclaimed Water & Water Conservation Revisited
Presented by Julius Ballanco, P.E., CPD
This half-day PM LIVE session will hit on two popular industry topics.
Reclaimed Water – Problems & Pitfalls: Mr. Ballanco will provide insight into gaining code approval, dealing with the various agencies, and providing annual inspections. He will review problems that have beset the systems so that you will not fall into the same trap. Walk away with an understanding of where we are headed in the use of reclaimed water.
Water Conservation Revisited - The second half of the morning program will address how much more water can be conserved in plumbing systems. As we move from 1.6 gallon per flush water closets to HETs, what impact will this have on existing and new installations? Urinals are very low flow and non-water supplied. What happens with a larger installation with such a reduction of water? Mr. Ballanco will address the installation considerations for the overall system in an effort to conserve more water and be efficient with out water use.
When: Monday, January 26th; 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
